Furcifer barrus ("elephant rogue") or Chamelephant, is a 25-33 inches (63.5-83.82 centimeters) long species of lizard that is found on Skull Island. The animal is described in the book "The World of Kong: A Natural History of Skull Island" (2005).

Facts[]

Chamelephant is a species of chameleon with an elephant-like trunk. The canopy of Skull Island's jungle played host to the world's biggest and strangest chameleons. Evolving in isolation after some chance colonization several million years ago, they had grown to gigantic proportions. The largest variety was almost 3 feet long. Their natural climbing skills allowed the species to clamber into the highest branches to obtain their prizes, while their mimetic camouflage protected them from arboreal predators.
